Should You Trust Google Mail?
Gmail is a very popular email hosting service with many users on this platform. But are your emails safe from peering eyes? For Gmail users, this may not be the case; you may think your emails are private. Google can read each and everyone’s emails by scanning long email chains which allow them to collect data on you. Google uses the data collected from your emails to inform a whole host of other products and services.
Though it is to be noted that Google announced that it would stop using consumer Gmail content for ad personalization; however, the language for doing so is still implemented, and is included in its current privacy policy. Therefore, Google still allows the scanning of emails for other purposes such as to automatically extract keywords which is then fed into machine learning programs to better detect spam and malware.
